Functional Assessments
CAS Functional Assessments are completed by registered and trained functional assessors and are scientifically designed to determine a person’s level of function and ability to perform functional or work related tasks on a safe and dependable basis.
CAS functional assessments determine injured persons functional capacity by collecting data obtained during the assessment and any other data provided at the time of the referral. Data is analysed in order to establish the worker’s current level of function in regards to their ability to perform a variety of job tasks.
The assessment comprises of: an examination of clinical pathology, identification of client behaviors that impact physical performance, objective musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and biomechanical testing, functional testing, and an assessment of effort.
